There Is No Place Like Home

The Great Commission
There is a place that isn't too far that I want to go. It is so easy to get to, but so hard to return. It is a place of my birth and where I was raised. There are so many happy memories and some sad. At the same time, as I watch the news and see its name on the map during the weather, I feel like it is calling me to come home. There is nothing left there for me. My parents are gone. My friends have moved on. My siblings have moved to where they live now. I would be leaving my children behind if I moved back to my home town. Plus, if I did ever get my family home, I would have to leave my dogs behind as well, as it is in the city and you're only allowed two dogs. The only thing that is left is the physical structure of my parent's home and the burial spot of where my parent's physical bodies lie. Oh why is there such a strong calling to go home?
Maybe that's not the real home I'm longing for. Who knows, perhaps it's my inner spiritual rhelm seeking to go home. But what's this? Wow! I'm going to see family! I'll never be homeless! I have a home waiting for me! Jesus has prepared a place for me! Only when He calls will it be ready. My spirit awaits for that call when I'll be finally going home. For now, He has given everyone and myself the Great Commission of telling others about Jesus and knowing He is with us to the very end of age. Ref: Matthew 28 16-20. I've got a job to do and I better get to work on it. How many are willing to go and do the GREAT COMMISSION?
Jesus is with us to the very end
